WebKit says Safari on macOS 27 now blocks network access to third-party identity resolution infrastructure. These services invisibly collect email addresses during sign-in or newsletter registration and link them to persistent identifiers for tracking across websites and devices. The protection has also shipped in iOS, iPadOS and visionOS 27.
According to WebKit, blocking operates at the domain level, so changing a request’s structure cannot bypass it. The protection prevents email transmission to these services; signing out or unsubscribing alone does not remove data they have already collected. First-party personalization is outside the protection’s target. For additional protection, iCloud+ subscribers can use Hide My Email to provide unique, randomized addresses.
