Apple released macOS 27.2, build 26B123, on October 26. Siri AI can now recall earlier conversations and draw on more personal context, including photos in Messages, Calendar attendees and voicemail. Excluded Apps provides one setting to control app access for Siri, Search and suggestions.
Messages adds suggestions that turn conversation context into actions, such as creating a Calendar event. Shared Albums in Photos can edit captions and comments, avoid duplicate additions and remind participants before an album expires. Photos and Image Playground support SynthID watermarking to help identify images created or modified with generative tools.
Podcasts separates New Episodes from Continue Playing. FaceTime supports adding a third-party sign-language interpreter or live captioner to a call. Apple Intelligence features depend on the device, language and region; Siri AI remains in beta.
Apple’s developer release notes also list known issues with restoring external display settings and requesting notification permissions after a clean installation. For the latter, Apple suggests enabling notifications manually in System Settings. These are documented limitations, not confirmation that each issue first appeared in macOS 27.2.
