Apple Creator Studio users will be able to connect external AI agents and tools to Keynote, Pages and Numbers documents through MCP. Apple says the integration will allow them to read content, make edits and execute automated actions. The update is scheduled for November; MCP requires macOS 27 or later.
Keynote will also support .keyx, an open JSON-based bundle format intended for external tools, developer workflows and AI agents. This provides integrations with a dedicated format for working with presentations.
Built-in contextual assistants will arrive in beta, limited to U.S. English on Apple Intelligence-capable devices running OS version 27 or later. The update is free for existing subscribers; U.S. subscriptions cost $12.99 monthly or $129 annually.
